Expomin - Santiago Chile

In April 2010, WAMS exhibited at Expomin 2010 in Santiago, Chile.  A valued experience, filled with various events and possibilities for forging priceless relationships in a new market.

The week was spent at Espacio Riesco, (the venue for this significant event), were we presented our services to the exhibition attendees and had various meetings with senior mining executives from:

·         CODELCO who operate: Chuquicamata, Radimiro Tomic, Andina and El Teniente,

·         XTRATA who operate: Lomas Bayas, Altonorte, Collahuasi,

·         BHP Billiton who operate: Cerro Colorado, Escondida

·         ANTOFAGASTA who operate: Los Pelambres, El Tesoro, Michilla

The message from all of these companies was simple “we are looking for quality innovative services from the experienced Australian mining sector to help improve operational efficiencies - WAMS has this experience!

Evenings were filled with events and opportunities to rub shoulders and build valuable relationships with the many mining and service company individuals, not to mention the famous faces - as Ron Bell will attest, as he enjoyed early morning exercise sessions with Peter Beattie, ex premier of QLD and current QLD trade ambassador.
